We’ll meet at the Aquarium at 10:00 AM for a guided tour of the facility.
The tour will take you through the Aquarium’s exhibits, and to some behind-the-scenes areas as well. It will highlight the Aquarium’s horticulture program. Why does an Aquarium grow plants? It’s for more than just aesthetic reasons. The Florida Aquarium grows educational gardens onsite where people can learn about Florida native plants and their uses. Also, plants are vital to the health and wellness of the animals who reside at the Aquarium. The horticulture team is providing plants to help with environmental restoration right here in downtown Tampa and around Tampa Bay. Come see all the fascinating animals and learn about the role plants play in the life of The Florida Aquarium.
