Participants will meet at 7:45 pm (Park closes at sunset so get in before) at the northern end of the Honeymoon Island picnic area parking lot (near the entrance to the Osprey Trail). While we are waiting for dark we will discuss the morphology and behavior of the Florida Bark Scorpion. Once it is dark we will be hiking along the Osprey trail using UV lights to find and observe the scorpions. We expect the hike to be between one and two miles with a duration of about two hours.

• Long pants and sleeves

• Bug spray

• Camera for documenting
